IDC Names Schneider As DCIM Market Leader

 CRN Network, January 23, 2012, 1430 hrs

IDC has named Schneider Electric as a market leader in the data center infrastructure management (DCIM) space.

IDC’s report, IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) 2011 Vendor Analysis identifies the DCIM market as continuing to rapidly evolve with a number of vendors working to establish themselves within the space. The evaluation was based on a comprehensive framework that assessed vendors across a wide variety of technical and operational criteria, weighted by factors IDC believed will be the most influential over the next three to five years.

“To be identified by IDC as a market leader in the DCIM space is a validation of the effectiveness of our DCIM solutions,” said Soeren Brogaard Jensen, Vice President, Enterprise Software, Schneider Electric. “As the DCIM space continues to grow and evolve Schneider Electric will remain committed to bringing our customers the robust and innovative line of DCIM solutions to streamline IT and facilities management.”

Schneider Electric’s DCIM solutions are an integral part of StruxureWare for data centers, an integrated management software suite designed to address all aspects of the data center physical infrastructure. The suite combines data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and data center facility management (DCFM) software tools to provide data gathering, monitoring and automation, and planning and implementation functionalities.
