HP Expands Retail Portfolio

CRN Network, May 26, 2011, 1430 hrs

In a bid to expand its retail portfolio, HP announced the rp5800 Retail System—a high-performance point-of-sale (POS) solution.

 

Rajat Mehta, Country Head, Emerging Business unit, HP PSG India, said, “rp5800, coupled with ISV software solution, HP believes it can provide large format Indian retailers and SMB retail stores robust PoS solutions. This machine is top of the line and the configurations are customizable to order. HP is happy to announce the immediate launch of rp5800 for its esteemed customers.”

 

With extra memory slots, multiple PCI Express slots and optional optical drives, the rp5800 can be connected to optional peripherals such as receipt printers, monitors, cash drawers and scanners.

 

The rp5800 Retail System is Energy Star 5.0 qualified and is backed by a standard three-year limited warranty, extended product life cycle, and parts and services availability.
