Tally Announces Tide For Channel Partners

 By Tabrez Khan

Tally Solutions has launched a new channel program Tally Integrator and Extender (Tide) to enable channel partners to sell its newly launched Tally ERP 9.0 solution. “The channel program will help partners to develop solutions based on Tally ERP 9.0 and sell them. These could be solutions customized for and targeted at specific verticals, integrated with other applications or unique as per the domain skills and geographic spread of the partners,” said Shoaib Ahmed, President, Tally Solutions Private Limited.

Tally has already roped in around 146 partners for the Tide program, while going forward it plans to recruit up to 600 partners within the next couple of months. Ahmed said there was a significant opportunity for channel partners to create customized solutions using Tally ERP since there was a lot of interest among users in integrating Tally with their CRM and other applications.

“A lot of users who bought Tally initially did not realize its full potential, but after recognizing its full capabilities, they come back to us asking for integration with their CRM and other business applications. Channel partners are key in fulfilling these demands, and this is a big opportunity for them as well,” said Ahmed.

Tally’s ERP 9 Release 2.0 was recently launched with advanced features such as short message service (SMS), remote access and recruitment engine through Tally.NET Services. Businesses will also have the facility for online support in the software in addition to the existing call centre support and can resolve their queries through an inbuilt support system via Tally.NET Services.

Ahmed said Tally was constantly trying to reduce incidence of piracy by creating a different experience for those who buy Tally software by incorporating services such as SMS, remote access to data, product problem resolution, access to trained manpower. “Tally.Net is a step in that direction, to create a differentiation for the paid buyer and provide him substantial benefits. We are also leveraging the skills of channel partners to create customization of our software across verticals, integration with various verticals etc,” Ahmed said.
