Tarang Software Goes to Saudi

Bangalore-based provider of Point of Sale (PoS) and mobile payment solutions Tarang Software Technologies has partnered with Intersoft, its first EMV customer in Saudi Arabia. Headquartered in Riyadh, Intersoft is a specialized provider of PoS solutions.

Tarang will develop and certify SPAN II application on MagIC terminal. SPAN II is the latest specification for implementing EMV Level II, a mandatory specification for any payment application on PoS/ATM.

Tarang, a SEI CMM Level 5 IT services company, that provides solution in PoS applications, payment gateways, mobile payment, contactless payment interfaces, gift and loyalty solutions, merchant boarding, certification testing, EMV and fraud management.

V Rama Kumar, Founder and CEO, Tarang said, “EMV is the way to go for PoS solutions across Middle East, India and Europe. Tarang, which has about 300 people at its Bangalore facility, has achieved a turnover of about Rs 2.14 crore last fiscal. This financial year, the company expects to achieve a turnover of Rs 3 crore.”

Ammar Al-Qadi, Owner and General Manager, Intersoft, said, “The Tarang team has been successfully working as an extended arm of Intersoft. We are confident that we can leverage on its domain expertise to sustain our leadership in Middle East.”

Tarang has its presence in USA, Singapore, Japan, UK and Sweden in partnership with companies like Verisign, Payment Data Systems, Electracash, Card Services International and First Data Corporation.
