HP Formalizes Distribution Pact with Avnet

 CRN Network, May 12 2009, 1600 hrs

HP India and Avnet Technology Solutions India have formally announced their distribution pact. Avnet will distribute HP’s complete server and storage range including industry standard servers, business critical servers and storage solutions.

Last fortnight, CRN reported about the distribution partnership between HP and Avnet and mentioned that following its worldwide policy, the distributor would not distribute PC products from HP.

Commenting on the partnership, Sameer Mathur, Head-Solutions Partners Organization, HP India, said, "We are glad to partner with Avnet for the distribution of our storage and servers business. This is a part of HP's ongoing endeavor to provide the technologically best and most cost-efficient solutions to our customers across the country through our strong distribution network."

G Balakrishnan, Managing Director, Avnet Technology Solutions India, said, “Through our new partnership with HP India, we are creating a strategic engagement in the country that complements our existing alliance with HP in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.  Working with HP will allow us to offer server and storage solutions to the India business partner community.”
