Tally’s collaboration network benefits partners

In a bid to take on larger ERP vendors, Tally Solutions has strengthened its partner ecosystem and is introducing several measures which will help partners deliver solutions across multiple geographies. The vendor has cataloged 900 solutions which the Tally Integrator (TI) channels have developed, and which will be cross-sold across its 13,000 large partner network.


“Over the past one year we have signed on close to 450 TI partners, who have independently built 900 independent vertical solutions. We are now enabling our partner ecosystem to deliver, deploy and cross-sell these solutions,” said Shiv Kumar, Associate Vice President, Tally Solutions.
TI partners are essentially independent software vendors who have built vertical-specific software applications based on Tally ERP 9.


To enable partners to collaborate among themselves, Tally India has already introduced a fixed service rate card. “We have close to 1,000 Tally Service Providers (TSPs), and when a partner needs to deploy solutions across multiple locations he can take the services of our TSPs. The fixed rate card ensures there is transparency in how they will be charged for the services they outsource to TSPs,” explained Kumar.


For instance, recently, Software@Work, a Tally partner, picked up a large ERP deployment across 5,500 retail points from Tata Docomo. “The partner roped in 450 TSPs who help them deploy and support the solutions in various geographies. The collaboration among partners ensured that the entire project was rolled out and operational in less than five weeks, compared to similar deployments by the competition which took more than a year,” Kumar stated.


Other large projects deployed by such collaborative initiative include NRHM and Maruti Udyog. “Earlier such large deals used to be handled mostly by national systems integrators. However, with our collaborative partner network, any partner of Tally is now able to bid, design, deploy and deliver solutions faster, irrespective of the partner’s size or geographical reach.”


Tally plans to tap SMB customers having presence in multiple locations with the partner network. “Apart from our wide partner network, we have several technical features—such as our new and advanced data synchronization features—that are specifically designed to handle the real problems faced by Indian customers in smaller cities. At the same time, the solution is versatile enough to ensure that the customers’ ERP systems work across multiple branches,” Kumar said.


Tally is planning to rope in more TIs, and is trying to beef up the number of vertical-specific solutions. “While we don’t have a specific figure in mind, we are aiming at 100 percent coverage across all business verticals through TI partners,” added Kumar. “The idea is to build a solutions exchange, which partners across the country can leverage and cross-sell in future.”

Yet another novel and effective way Tally is trying to make it happen effectivly. A good initiative taken by Tally. The advantage of would be to all, the customer , the Tally Integrator, Tally partners, and Tally itself.
