Transcend debuts SATA II SSD

 

Transcend’s new 2.5-inch SATA II SSD is equipped with 64MB internal DRAM cache. Built with NAND flash memory, the drive is rugged, remains cool and quiet while in operation, and is practically immune to mechanical failure caused by excess vibration, shock or heat.

In addition, it uses integrated ECC (Error Correction Code) to ensure accurate data transfers,
and also features built-in wear-leveling technology for consistent long-life operation.
It comes with transfer speeds of up to 230Mbps read and 180Mbps write.
Available in 60GB and 120GB capacities, it is ideal for system builders, gamers, or anyone who is looking for an easy upgrade.
With a two-year warranty, the 60GB drive is priced at Rs 18,000 and 120GB drive is priced at Rs 31,000.
