Thecus Unviels NAS N4200


 CRN Network, November 4, 2011, 1100 hrs

Thecus Technology, a digital storage solutions company, has launched a network attached storage device, Thecus NAS N4200. The N4200 offers Intel Atom dual-core processor D510 with 1.66GHz speed in combination with 1GB of DDR2 memory.


Its LCD display offers system information including hard disk and network status, while the 2.8” OLED display allows users to modify a number of settings directly on the device including WAN, LAN, link aggregation, and languages.


Four SATA II hard disk bays in N4200 offer up to 12 TB of storage capacity. N4200 comes with multiple RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD. It offers dual DOM (Disk on Module) technology that uses a secondary DOM to reprogram the primary DOM in the event of a failure.


The N4200 with 12TB storage is priced at Rs 84,900 and with 8TB storage at Rs 54,900 and is available through MB Solution, the national distributor.
