In a move that blends cutting-edge technology with hands-on learning, Masters’ Union, India’s leading business and technology school, has announced a strategic alliance with Rabbitt AI, a London-based enterprise AI company, and The AI World Organisation (AIWO), a global nonprofit promoting inclusive and ethical AI adoption.
The collaboration aims to embed enterprise-grade AI problem-solving directly into undergraduate classrooms, giving students exposure to real-world projects guided by industry practitioners and researchers.
From Theory to Enterprise-Ready Skills
The first cohort—around 50 students from Masters’ Union’s Undergraduate Programme in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence—will begin this semester. Over the next few years, the initiative will be rolled out to all programmes at the institution.
Students will gain:
Technical masterclasses led by industry CTOs
Mentorship from AIWO’s global expert network
Applied project tracks in multilingual AI, autonomous agents, and vertical AI tools for sectors like healthcare, HR, and agriculture
Projects will be co-designed with Rabbitt AI’s technical team and delivered in an offline, hands-on format, followed by a joint certification from Masters’ Union and Rabbitt AI upon completion.
Addressing India’s AI Skills Gap
According to a 2024 NASSCOM report, India faces a shortage of more than 213,000 skilled AI professionals, particularly in model building, data infrastructure, and algorithm optimisation. Most graduates are adept at using off-the-shelf AI tools, but lack experience in designing and deploying foundational systems.
This partnership is designed to shift the focus from AI tool usage to AI tool creation—covering areas like prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic systems, and ethical AI design.
“It is no longer enough for students to be technically literate,” said Swati Ganeti, Director of Undergraduate Programmes at Masters’ Union. “They must identify and solve complex problems using AI as a first-principles technology. This collaboration will produce professionals who can design, test, and deploy intelligent systems inside organisations.”
Industry-Backed, Locally Relevant AI
Founded by Harneet Singh, serial entrepreneur and IIT Delhi alumnus, Rabbitt AI is known for building autonomous agents and large language models (LLMs) tailored for enterprises, with a strong focus on vernacular Indian languages. The company also leads the Bharat AI Yatra initiative to identify emerging AI talent across India.
Earlier this year, Masters’ Union and Rabbitt AI co-hosted the AI World Power 30 Summit at the Gurgaon campus, bringing together over 200 leaders from HR and AI ecosystems.
“India’s future AI leadership will come from students who can build from scratch,” said Harneet Singh, Founder and Chief AI Officer, Rabbitt AI. “Whether it’s developing an intelligent agent for public health or fine-tuning a multilingual LLM for agriculture, we want students to work on the same challenges the world is tackling right now.”
Shaping India’s AI Talent Pipeline
With enterprise-backed projects, global mentorship, and a strong focus on applied learning, this partnership underscores Masters’ Union’s commitment to building an industry-aligned AI talent pipeline. It also reflects a broader shift in higher education—where universities move beyond theory to deliver hands-on, context-rich, and globally relevant learning experiences.
