Mahavir Sys Power provided cooling solution to its Thane based AIRA MATRIX (formerly doing business as Aditya Imaging Information Technologies) using high density servers for image processing. The customer was looking for a solution for reducing its power consumption used by the server room. Each server was taking 25 KW, designed for three server racks and two networking racks. The total power load was approximate 80 KW for the server room. The partner deployed highly efficient and chilled water based precision cooling with eco-structure for monitoring and manageability.
It provided Schneider Electric – InRow Cooling with Chilled Water, EcoXtructure monitoring and manageability software for datacentre. EcoStruxure Power is an IoT-enabled architecture and platform that digitises and simplifies low and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. It provides actionable data to aid the decisions that help protect people, safeguard assets, maximise operational efficiency and business continuity and maintain regulatory compliance. The solution helped in converting hot air generated from high density server. The same hot air passes through chilled water and was converted as cold air and provided to server room for cooling requirement. With the help of the solution, the complete recycle of air passing through chilled water and later was reused for cooling purpose.

The deployment of this solution resulted in space saving, approximately 60 per cent than standard solution power saving provided with chilled water, each InRow unit heat removal fan door is working less than 1 KW with which save more than 70 per cent power saving compared to standard solution. With the heat removal fan door, the need for precision cooling environment was well taken care of which save energy and providing working environment for the IT team.
The biggest benefit was reduction in space from 350 – 400 sq. ft area to less than 150 sq. ft.
