Please share a brief overview on the company what you do and what area of expertise

Tecnics is global IT software company providing consulting, managed services, digital transformation solutions and next generation platform services. With a collaborative team of 450+ consultants, Tecnics offers products and services to global enterprises across Identity, Security and Access Management, Automation, Digital Experience and Mobility, Business Transformation and Data and Analytics.

An important aspect of our strategy is developing proprietary solutions, aligned to the market and business need for rapid digitization. In the quest for innovation, we have started Tecnics Ventures to incubate in building products which automates business processes across industries using cutting edge technology and leveraging AI-ML. BeejakPay is one of the first investment built on top of IBM platform to automate Accounts Payable process.

Tecnics has been investing in products that address industry requirements in Automation and Security as well. Our products in Security include TecMFA and TecTango. In the automation space, we have built eKaarya that helps large organizations move to paperless eOffice. Some of the large PSU’s in India use this product.

Why did team at Tecnics think of developing an accounts payable solution?

Digitization is changing all aspects of the business including Accounts Payable, an important function as it impacts cash flow, compliance, vendor satisfaction and brand value of an organization. Tecnics conceptualized and implemented its first accounts payable solution in 2014 and we saw an increasing number of customers leveraging the solution. A study conducted by IDC corroborated with this market trend and highlighted some of the common issues faced by professionals in the function including: complex and manual accounts payable processes, visibility issues with lost invoices or verifying past transactions, resource constraints along with increasing volume of work and lost opportunities to avail early payment discounts. We realized the potential of this solution and branded our accounts payable solution, BeejakPay. The word ‘Beejak’ in Sanskrit means invoice. Over a period of time we have upgraded the solution to the latest technology making it robust and relevant for our customers across industries by infusing IBM’s hybrid cloud capabilities and technologies like Automation and AI.

In short, BeejakPay is an automated accounts payable solution which is hosted on IBM Cloud using IBM Cloud Pak for Automation workflow engine, IBM Datacap scanning engine, IBM Filenet Document Management System, IBM Content Collector for SAP integration and IBM Watson Chatbot. It is fully integrated with leading ERPs and infused with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
