Greenpanel has chosen Dell EMC VxRail hyperconverged infrastructure to modernize its data center and optimize manufacturing and business operations.

Bolstered by the booming construction industry, the competitive wood panels industry has grown at 10-12% annually. IT plays an essential role in every phase, from procurement to manufacturing, quality control, logistics and marketing. Greenpanel wanted to upgrade its IT infrastructure and adopt new technologies that could help drive customer-centric product innovation. The woodworks giant selected Dell EMC VxRail HCI over a public cloud solution to enable its mission-critical applications. It offers greater flexibility and agility, and eliminates complexities in managing aging infrastructure, and resolving storage size and scalability limitations. VxRail also supports across its SAP and non-SAP applications to eliminate silos created in storage layers and simplify operations by enabling a unified view and management of all infrastructure resources. An automated and modernized data center allowed Greenpanel’s IT team to free up time to focus on business and IT innovations.

Greenpanel also implemented Dell ProSupportPlus (PSP), which comes bundled with the SupportAssist Enterprise functionality. Dell PSP’s AI capabilities enable automation and eliminate time consuming manual processes, by proactively detecting and reporting hardware failures to Dell’s ProSupport Plus engineers, who are available 24×7 for customer support.

The project was implemented, seamlessly and within a small window of just two weeks to enable business continuity and reduce downtime.

“Businesses are relying heavily on new technologies to innovate and succeed in a competitive landscape. Dell EMC VxRail helped Greenpanel address challenges in managing their mission-critical applications and complex hardware without the need for specialist resources. said Manish Gupta, Senior Director & General Manager, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Dell Technologies India. “We took a consultative approach to arrive at a long-term solution that enabled Greenpanel to automate and modernize their datacenter with new technologies that allowed them to focus on their core business.”

“The defining factors contributing to Greenpanel success are its culture of innovation, foresight, and sustainable practices. Technology has always helped us stay ahead of the curve.” said Dr. Vineet Bansal, CIO, Greenpanel. “We wanted a solutions provider that understood our core fundamentals, and Dell Technologies did just that. With the deployment of HCI, we are now able to focus on driving innovation and enabling future IT initiatives for our business.”
