HP unveils an array of new offerings

Today at HP Reinvent, the company’s largest global partner event, HP Inc unveiled a variety of new offerings – including a security service and consumer and commercial PCs. “As customers’ expectations for amazing technology is higher than ever, collaborating with our partners to meet the evolving needs of the next generation has never been more critical,” said Alex Cho, President, Personal Systems, HP Inc. He added, “By creating ways for customers to manage, detect and defend against security threats with HP DaaS Proactive Security Service; and, bringing commercial and consumer premium PC design mainstream, we remain passionate about creating the world’s most exciting devices and intelligent solutions.”

Security as a Service
HP has unveiled a new security-focused managed service designed to enforce policies, actively monitor, proactively respond, and defend against the threat of undetected attacks. HP DaaS Proactive Security Service, a significant extension to HP’s device as a service offering, is designed to go beyond anti-virus solutions and provide a critical extra layer of defense.

“The strategic collaboration with HP further demonstrates Aon’s holistic approach to cyber risk management by integrating our CyQu assessment methodology and our middle-market insurance panel to diagnose client risk, enable risk transfer and provide prescriptive remediation recommendations. At Aon, we continue to innovate to solve our clients’ most pressing cyber challenges, and the integration of Aon’s cyber capabilities into the HP DaaS solution is evidence of the tremendous value we can create together,” said J Hogg, CEO, Cyber Solutions, Aon.

Designed for the modern SMB workforce, HP has also expanded its AMD commercial portfolio with the addition of the HP ProBook 445R G6, HP ProBook 455R G6, and the HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini.

Today, HP announced HP’s Zoom Room solutions to make it easier for IT decision makers to choose a conferencing and collaboration solution that best meets the needs of their organisation. HP also announced HP Premier Care Solutions to enhance its premium commercial notebooks, including HP EliteBooks and HP ZBooks.

Taking cues from the HP Spectre premium portfolio, the new line-up of HP ENVY laptops and x360s features HP Command Center for powerful performance, sophisticated design with a geometric pattern for audio and thermal venting, and robust security – including a biometric fingerprint reader, a privacy camera kill switch, and optional HP Sure View privacy screen to ensure screen content isn’t exposed.
