Ravi Shankar Prasad lauds FAIITA’s eStore initiative

Faiita has formally launched FAIITA GlobalLinker, a digital platform solution for IT channel partners to digitise their business 

The Union Minister of Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad has virtually inaugurated the ambitious B2B and B2C online platform- eStore, an initiative of Federation of All India IT Association, FAIITA.The platform will be connecting thousands of offline IT dealers and retailers across India to this digital store.

Lauding the initiative taken by FAIITA, in line with the government’s Digital India programme, Prasad said, “This is my first formal engagement with FAIITA members. The initiative will empower several IT companies to be part of the Digital India campaign and keep their businesses growing in challenging times. Today, the world is looking at India’s landscape very closely, and we have seen multi million dollar investments by global tech companies in such challenging times. Under the Digital India initiative, India has become the second largest player in mobile manufacturing and we have a goal to make India the top mobile manufacturing hub in the next two to three years.”

Calling it a big achievement for FAIITA, Navin Gupta, Secretary, FAIITA said, “The launch of eStore is one of the big achievements in the history of FAIITA. The eStore will enable IT dealers to take their offline business to digital world and help them start reaching out to the connected customers. Currently, many states are under lockdown, and the eStore will help our members to keep business continuity intact.”

FAIITA’s eStore is a unique concept for every brick and mortar or T3 partner across the nation. This platform will enable all of them to build and operate their own individual eStore, which is an extension to their physical business. This new hybrid model will capitalise and give them an opportunity to grow their business multi-fold with their estore running for 24 x 7 x 365.

He further added, “We are charging a nominal fee of Rs 2,000 covering, onboarding and annual maintenance. Later, we will charge Rs 1,000 as an annual fee for platform maintenance. It’s an end-to-end digital platform, along with various digital payments facilities, e-catalogue and with delivery services.”

FAIITA has asked its state presidents to share the list of their registered members and start the process of onboarding of dealers to eStore in next 10 days.

For this digital initiative, Faiita has partnered with GlobalLinker, an AI powered platform for building a global community of digitized SMEs.
