NetApp India’s Bangalore campus was awarded the platinum rating by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). Dr. Chandrashekar Hariharan, Co Chairman, IGBC Bangalore Chapter visited NBC to hand over the award to Deepak Visweswaraiah, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, NetApp India.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Dr. Hariharan said, “This rating enables the project team to address national priorities like water and energy efficiency, reduction in fossil fuel usage, handling consumer waste, conserving natural resources and these are the most important concepts that enhance occupant health, happiness and well-being.”
“Some of the finest green building features which has been incorporated at NBC includes sustainable site planning, energy management, water conservation and waste management. This is one of the highest ratings any building has received in India for its green building features”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Visweswaraiah, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, NetApp said, “We are extremely happy and proud to have been awarded the prestigious platinum rating. We are committed to play a catalytic role in building a greener and healthier India and receiving this award is taking a step towards the same. We sincerely thank IGBC for this appreciation and acknowledgement”.
“Our office building is a complete steel structure built with minimum cement and water. 80% of resources we use are natural and we take active measures to replenish those”, added Deepak.
