To digitally transform the entire eco-system of Royal Enfield (Eicher Motors), Team Computers deployed mobility within the former’s company with Apple iPads. This included retail outlets and service centres which can help in increasing their business, create a unique and great customer experience, mobilise their workforce and standardise their operational process.
The entire sales team at the retail showrooms, now use Apple iPads to showcase the vehicles’ details and features to the customers. It is also used to capture data, access mails, perform follow-ups and almost every routine tasks. This resulted in increasing the overall employee productivity and did significantly cut down on the cost of operations.
The project included pan India deployment (phase wise) of Apple iPads with integration into their internal eco-system. As of now, we have deployed more than 1500 iPads with more than 10,000 to be deployed in the coming phases. Also, designed an adoption program for all users at the outlet level which will help them to use the devices and its features effectively.
As a unique case, here, the integration of three different technologies are coming together to create a seamless and smooth experience. The client is using Apple iOS as a hardware platform along with Microsoft DMS and now exploring IBM mobile device management solution to manage their assets.
The project helped the company to move from a paper to paper-less model completely when it comes to retail experience which resulted in cutting down on printing cost to 100 per cent. Also, the interactive content on iPads enhanced customer experience in comparison to the leaflets and brochures.
Most importantly, it also helped to reduce the sales cycle to 50 per cent less time as all the data capturing, follow-ups and mails are done through the iPads which helps in quicker communication between the sales representative and customer. The time taken to flow new and updated information is also now 80 per cent faster as compared to traditional paper model.
It is infact, the first mobility project in the two-wheeler industry in India since a two-wheeler company has to evaluate the return, cost involvement and business benefits very carefully. The project has digitally transformed the entire retail infrastructure of the Royal Enfield outlets. In the first phase, more than 1500 resources were mobilized across India. The complete project will be one of the biggest deployments in the industry with over 20000 iPads deployed.
