Sarita Pansari, Director, Savera Digital India shares insights into how the company experienced significant growth by achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and staying on top of the technology curve
Savera Digital India is one of the fastest growing IT distribution house in the country. The company is engaged in distribution of various types of IT products, with a nationwide reach, robust product portfolio, and superior service in India. Formed as a local company in 2004, Savera continues its evolution today by striving for excellence with its products and services.
With more than 20 years of experience in the distribution network business, Savera has achieved success by partnering with world class organizations and providing advanced technology solutions to both customers and channel partners. Last year, the company clocked a revenue of ` 210 crore registering a growth of 17 percent.
“Savera started with a team strength of 10 in Kolkata and now we are 150 plus. We have offices in Kolkata as well as Mumbai and branches across India. Today, our service centers are spread across A, B, C and D class cities of India and we work with more than 2600 partners/customers in 600 cities/towns. We started the business with the distribution of Sony Products along with a few other brands and now we are associated with almost 50 brands across the states. Presently, we distribute both IT hardware and IT software products and solutions,” says Pansari.
He further adds, “Savera Digital is among the top 10 distribution house in the country,”
Savera has expertise into the channel business, and the focus verticals are components, peripherals, storage, power, printing, imaging, and PCD. Currently, the company has 14 branches across the country and have 5000 plus partners catering to almost 300 plus cities.
“In this journey, our biggest achievement has been the team who stood by each other in both good and bad times. Our continuous focus is towards quality, efficiency and reliability of IT products, services and solutions, which has been recognized by customers as well as our most valued partners. We provide our customers with great satisfaction by delivering products and solutions according to their developing needs, which is another great achievement for us,” asserts Pansari.
Savera has extended its arms not only in A or B class cities but also in the remote locations within the cities and states. With this approach, the company has made deep in roads in the country. Besides, it constantly strives to meet the partner demand by signing up products that is required by the market as well as industry.
However, the company is grappling with a few issues in its day-to-day operations. “Indian market has a lot of potential for any player to grow and also increased digitization has bought timeliness and reduced paperwork. But we have seen that customers are not much aware of latest offering and it has become difficult to reach some markets due to unavailability of efficient transport and other networking issues. Due to multiple competitions in market and shrinking margins, maintaining a healthy ROI in distribution is somewhat a challenging task, but we at Savera constantly strive to maintain the same in order have business hygiene. We keep accepting these challenges and learn from them,” points out Pansari.
Savera is planning to expand its business and strengthen the tie ups in terms of new branches, partner sign-ups and increasing the number of global brand associations.
“Currently, our main focus is specifically on channel, as it helps us to meet the needs of the customers. We are constantly trying to enter into major booming verticals such as surveillance, telecom, and power verticals and expand our partner network by 20%, especially in the southern markets of India. Also, looking at the changing dynamics of market and industry, Savera will enhance its focus on SMB and enterprise product in future,” concludes Pansari.
